MayAchik is a peaceful eco-hotel in San Juan La Laguna, close to nature and connected to the village around it.
Our bungalows are simple, comfortable, and ecological. Many have private bathrooms with dry composting toilets. The restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan food. We can help arrange shuttles, local tours, hikes, sauna, massages, and other experiences so your stay feels easier from the beginning.

Bungalows With Private Bathrooms
- Aguila: 4 double beds, for up to 8 people
- Lagartija: 3 double beds, for up to 6 people, with kitchenette
- Colibri: 1 double bed and 1 single bed
- Quetzal: 1 double bed and 1 single bed.
- Abeja: 1 double bed and 1 single bed
Bungalows With Shared Bathroom
- Ardilla, Luciernaga, and Libelula: 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The quoted price is for 2 guests with an extra charge of Q50 for an additional guest.
- Mariquita: 1 double bed, for up to 2 people
- Mariposa: mixed, shared dormitory for up to 8 people
- Oruga: can be booked either as a private room or per bed in a shared 3-bed women-only dormitory.

- Online Check-In
- All reservations require a 50% down payment; foreign clients without a Guatemalan bank account may be exempted.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. We ask this because many guests come here to rest, and because the village around us deserves respect too. We cannot control every rooster, dog, church bell, or village sound, but we do our part to keep MayAchik peaceful.
- A key deposit of Q 50 is required upon check-in, and it will be refunded upon check-out after returning the key and towels.
- Payments can be made at the hotel with cash or credit card (7% extra charge).
- Changes or cancellations must be requested at least 72 hours in advance, providing the name and date of stay.
- If you cancel 72 hours in advance, you can either request a change of date or a refund of your deposit to a Guatemalan bank account.
- Cancellations on the day of arrival are non-refundable
- For groups, changes or cancellations must be made 30 days prior to arrival; outside this period, there is no refund.
- We reserve the right of admission to the hotel and restaurant facilities.
